Buxton Bottling Plant
The project brief was to carry out a noise impact assessment for the proposed expansion of the Buxton water bottling plant. The expansion included a significant increase in logistics, with increased dispatch capability and a new external road layout.
Several NSR’s were identified and extensive noise monitoring carried out over several days. Due to the elevation of the site and the potential dramatic weather fluctuations we utilised our advanced weather monitoring equipment to ensure a robust BS4142:2014 assessment.
Through extensive geometric and specific noise measurement we were able to generate a propagation model to support the mitigation design process.
A range of solutions were considered, with the end design incorporating earth bunds, acoustic grade barriers and a quieter loading bay ramp system.
The team at Blue Acoustics has extensive experience across the full spectrum of noise related consultancy. All staff are trained to MSc level in Applied Acoustics and are members of the Institute of Acoustics, which is considered the industry gold standard for acoustics professionals.
